A particularly desirable version of Leica’s legendary M6 35mm rangefinder, featuring the uncommon 0.85x viewfinder for improved precision when focusing longer and faster M-mount lenses. This example dates to October 1997 and comes from the only production batch of non-TTL Leica M6 bodies equipped with the 0.85x viewfinder. Combining the classic M6 mechanical shutter, through-the-lens metering, compact brass-bodied construction, and Leica M lens compatibility, it is an excellent choice for photographers and collectors seeking a less common variation of the classic M6.

Recently CLA’d by YYE in August 2026, this camera has been inspected and serviced for dependable operation. The rangefinder is clear with no haze or bubbling, shutter speeds are accurate, and the shutter curtains are free of holes.

Condition (Excellent)
Excellent condition with normal cosmetic wear consistent with careful previous use. A complete CLA was performed by YYE in August 2026. The rangefinder shows no bubbling or haze, all shutter speeds are accurate, and the shutter curtain has no holes. Camera is fully functional and ready to shoot.
